The Swine Flu

In Mexico it has been recorded that the Swine Flu has taken the lives of 7 people this is quite scary because there has been confirmed of 3 people in New Zealand have been diagnosed with influenza A the new strand. i just wanted to post this up so if anybody gets a cough or the flu in general see a doctor to make sure that you dont have influenza A.

i thought there are far more ppl that already died... or are so far "just" infected with it...

in germany as well 3 ppl have been diagnosed with it....


media already talks about it pretty serious as its already going out to the whole world....
many ppl might die =/

ppl that got infected:
64 in USA, 14 in new sealand, 13 in canada, 2 in spain, isral and greatbrittain... and the 3 in germany

in mexico... 26 ppl infected.... 7 of them died
13 further deaths... are still under testing

argh the media is a pain! they arent giving everyone the same information -.- such a pain.

It's just a slightly worse version of the flu.

Yea, I'm honestly not too worried about it... I'm sure it's a nasty thing to get and all, but meh, so is skin cancer, but I'm not going to stop going out in the sunlight. I find it's best to just not think about it xD

How does this disease spread? With air, dust, with what?

through contact and if its getting in your body...
as scientist say you need to wash your hands and hygiene and stuff to prevent infection

Ugh, I guess there was a case reported in Columbus, Ohio. That's about 3 hours from me x.x Stupid swine flu.

I heard the disease is pretty much exactly the same as the common cold, and that only a blood sample analyzed would be proof that you have it since the symptoms are the same...and it spreads the same too, if someone touches a phone booth, then you do(within a max of 2 hours that is)you will most likely get infected...its not really as big of a deal as most people are saying though lol just wash your hands.

and dont put your hands into your mouth =O

Oh gawd I'm scared.. Like 80% of CT's schools are shut down because of the Swine (bree bree~~) but mine just happens to be one thats still open

i just read in the news paper that 300 people are quarantined in a hotel in hong kong -.-
apparently its their first confirmed case of swine flu (im sure there would be more cases than that, they just dont know it yet)
its getting out of hand...

The chances of dieing are relatively low...barely higher than the normal influenza.

if thats the case they shouldnt be making sound as terrible as they have been saying then... scaring people isnt nice (stupid media)

They are scaring people and telling them to have good hygene and stay away from public places because just because it isn't that bad now, dosn't mean it wont be...o.O virus's adapt to different things, so they want people to stop spreading it, if it dosn't spread it will die.

im irritated because i work at a museum our cleanliness standards have just gone up >.< (im not very good with scented air fresheners and sanitisers that have strong smells) we are having to use anti-bacterial sanitisers for everything and ive been given another division in the museum to make sure this is under go >.< i have to hire experienced and professional commercial cleaners to come in >.< dammit thats over $8000/week in wages alone -.- not including disposables, chemicals and equipment.. Dang swine flu >.<
and apparently NZ just got Tamiflu on the shelves... apparently it helps with swine flu..
