uhmm well next year me and my brother are going to rent 2 big teddy bear outfits/costumes and we are going
to stalk my mum throughout the day giving her random hugs and helping her with her shopping and acting like goofs... the only problem is i wont be able to drive in a bear costume... unless i take the head off lol
that was my main idea for this year but i didnt have time for it but next year ive got heaps of time ^^

New york city... the sakura tree would only bloom every spring if I plant it though but i'll guess that'll be a big enough time period for mother's day a couple years later

what season is it in NYC when its mothers day?
if its spring maybe you can do something different with the tree each year after you have planted it ofcourse.. that would be a cheap alternative but recycling at the same time ^^

well for as long as the tree stays healthy yep, plus you can do something with it during christmas and easter too ^^ it can be an anytime gift and all you have to do is make/buy decorations hehe

now why didnt i ever think about doing something like that... ah its too conservative for my taste i always try to make gift giving and holidays a big deal ^^

you could always plant one every year NR trees arnt that hard to look after they require space, time and nature ^__^

^^ yeah but then you may have to ask for permission from a local council or the owners of the area that you are wanting to plant the tree/s in otherwise there may be issues with it and could be dragged into court -.-

o.o No kidding. All the hoops I had to jump through when I did my Eagle Scout project (very similar to the tree planting you're talking about) were just ridiculous. x.x I just wanted to plant some trees, I didn't think it'd be such a huge deal.

yeah ive had to jump through hoops aswell to plant some trees on the outside of my property to make it look nicer and i had to go through the council and sign all this legal work saying that i am responsible for the care etc and then i had to speak with some landscaping authorities and apply for planting rights -.- and thats just outside my house... so unnecessary i think but they have a system that works for them so i had to be understanding.
