Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry (デビル メイ クライ) is a series of hack and slash video games set in the modern day, developed by Capcom and created by Hideki Kamiya. Originally intended to be a sequel in Capcom's Resident Evil series, Devil May Cry has been cited as the beginning of a sub-genres of action games by the name of Extreme Action and Hack and Slash. The series centers on main character Dante's goal of avenging his mother's murder by exterminating demons. In the process, he encounters his long lost brother with whom he develops a dysfunctional relationship. As the series progresses it is revealed that the demon emperor Mundus is responsible for the loss of Dante's mother. The gameplay consists of heavy combat scenes in which the player must attempt to extend long chains of attacks while avoiding damage in order to exhibit "stylish" combat; this element along with time and amount of items collected and used are taken under consideration when grading the player's performance.

The series has been a marketing success with the first three games selling multiple million copies and being awarded the "Platinum Title" award by Capcom. The success of the video game series has led to the creation of comic books, novelizations, an anime series, guides, collectibles, publications, and a variety of action figures. As of 2009 there are four games in the series.

I have played Dvil May Cry 3 and 4 the story is superb i like this game... Who have played this game too?

i have played DMC1,2,3 but havent had the chance to play DMC4 (i used PS2 and PS3 consols to play it but i saw my friend playing it on his computer >.< i was so jealous!)

but its a good game i recomend to those that enjoy a walk around killing everyone ^^

what about the different weapons mentioned... you just gain them... and can switch... right??
and ... do you need to take care about any stats??? and distribute any kinds of skill points??

^__^ yup you do have to take care of some stats (weapons if i remember correctly and different fighting moves) i cant remember if skill points were involved but i think it is...

It's copied from the Wikipedia... I really liked a DMC 4 and i ended it sucessfully... You can't see real Dantes potential at this fight, this guy played really bad and in easy mode i think.. after ending the game i played it another time at the Hard mode wich is allowed to play only after ending a game... That's a real challenge and i've done a few SSS(best) combos without Automatic... There is D,C,B,A,S,SS and SSS combos...
You can play DMC 4 at PS3, PC and Xbox 360

I think it's with Automatic (PC does combos itself) if not respect for this guy because it means he plays better than ME... I am the real fan of DMc and played it so many times that it's hard to see better players ^^

ah Raven it sounds like you are really enjoying DMC series ^__^
for me it wasnt long enough and was finished in a few days... i like games that keep me going for weeks ^^

me too!!! I saw the anime and it was COOOOOL!!!!!!!!
Even if it had only like 12 episodes, it was pretty darn good.

Yea i can finish DMC 4 in 1 day but now im trying to fight not for damage but for combos... It's hardest to play first time because when you play another time your account is allready upgraded.. I think i can end all levels in SSS rank... but i will need to play lots of time...

i am still yet to play DMC4 but im sure i will get around to it ^^
I liked the Anime too but it was in full Japanese with no subs -.-

i may try playing DMC1 from the beginning again just for fun to see if i can pull off any combos but im going to have to borow my brothers as i sold my copy because i wasnt playing it anymore lol
