Model Building

for the first time in 5 years i am going to attempt to build a model lol

my experince with model buildings comes as this (model cars(remote control model cars), planes, action figures and my favourite Zoid models (from tv program))
well recently i have been given a Gundam Model to build up from the beginning and was wondering if anyone had any tips for this... my experince is practically at beginners level because i follow instructions i havent added my own technique to assembling models before as ive seen others do...

(ive actually thought about taking up photography and photographing models.... but i dont like it when a bunch of models moan and groan that the food is too fattening and think that they are fat even if they are size 0

but at the same time it would be a good experience hehe

I've had experience with model airplanes... was my hobby once... maybe I could help... but I just don't see how, lol

because every now and then a question that i cant answer myself i will put forth here and it will give you aswell as everyone a chance at helping me build it ( i could almost say it will be built with group effort hehe) and then afterwards i can show the result of all the hardwork that has been put into it ^^ hehe


but right now i have a few left over tools from 5 years ago:
wire clippers
super glue
glue brush
(cloth and water)
and my 2 hands ^____^

(i am yet to recieve the model and i may attempt to get anotherone before the weeks end but ill let eveyone know ^^)

i have started construction of the PMX-001 PALACE-ATHENE (JUPITORIS PROTOTYPE MOBILE SUIT)

so far i have completed the torso where the main joints will be connected to as well as a shield.. i am going to continue tomorrow when i am not as tired..

i will post pictures of the construction later ^___^

btw.... i once build some helicopter... =O

yeah... kinda... but it was hard... as some parts broke XD....
and really small parts...
it was actually my fathers present.... but he couldnt do it as it was too small... xD

and yeah... its still un complete... well first... we would have needed to color the parts first... ... its all white now...
then... the stickers are still missing
lol

wow!

yeah with plastic models ive noticed that they can be very fragile so when putting them together or taking them out of the package you must use extreme caution and then when it comes to painting and glueing the same because its easy to make accidents (last night i spent half an hour trying to put a sticker on straight lol) so it is expected to be difficult ^____^

i cant wait to see the progression of the my model ^___^

i have finished the upper body of it now..
all that is needing to be completed are the legs, weapons and putting the stickers on ^___^

I have constructed an airplane and F1 Ferrari model... It was easy to construct a ferrari and not very interesting... but to construct an airplane was much harder and when i finished it. Airplane really flied until he got crashed ^^

i have Completed the model (a bit disapointed i thought it would have taken longer... but i will post pictures when i get home)-( ignore me in the backround i was using my web cam to take the photos because my Digital Camera decided not to work -.-...)

all that hard work to watch it crash and thats what you liked most about it.... i think i prefer the completion of the model because of all the effort and time that has gone into making it whole ^__^

I built a big spaceship out of legos I put it on the table above my bed then one night the whole house shook (because a bus crashed into a pole outside x_X), it came down and hit me on the head...

what type of space ship?

or was it just made up of pieces you had with no instructions??

Nah I had instructions... it was some kind of star wars spaceship I got for christmas, even though I'm not fond of star wars >_>

i am not too fond of lego but Star Wars models are usually not that easy to build (im thinking of proper models not the lego type) it took my friend a few months to complete a melennium falcon that was 60cm wide and 75-80cm long (it was very detailed because it opened up and the entire inside was modeled aswell) but that was 5 years ago lol

my friend bulit a gigantic model of the death star... o.O
It was scary...

1st of all it took me a total of 3 days to complete it. first the torso then left arm, right arm the left leg, right leg and then the rocket booster with missile carriers.
2nd of all im sorry for the bad quality pictures as i used my web cam to take the pictures.
3rd of all ignore the ugly guy in the back round lol XD it was 10pm when i took the pictures and finished a long days work so i wasnt looking my best lol
4th of all (i should have just recorded the process and edited it lol) XD
5th of all i am dissapointed in how quick i did it (i may have to get another one next week lol)
