its got nothing to do with copy rights actually..

the term legal in the Yu-Gi-Oh game is another term for not banned or can be used
the term illegal is another way to say banned or can't be used cards because of banning lists that are sent out by the tournament organisers so people who want to play in the tournament have to follow these rules otherwise they cannot play because if they have a number of banned cards in their deck it will give them an unfair adavantage and ruining the game for others.. they originally made cards illegal so the game could be made more interesting/strategic/complex (choose what ever word they are all used and are the same in how i am using them)

there was a court battle with KONAMI and UDE(upper deck entertainment) for the rights to distribute cards made by KONAMI... well what happened was UDE produced 'fake' versions of the Yu-Gi-Oh tcg (trading card game) cards and was found out. so KONAMI was eventually told and took them to court.. 1 thing lead to another and now UDE can no longer have anything to do with Yu-Gi-Oh because of this instead another company in europe is being funded as a main distributor instead.. for a time it ruind alot of tournaments in NZ because there were Judges that were only recognised by UDE and not KONAMI beingh effected.. (i was a judge but i resigned because of what happened with UDE, i wouldnt mind however to join the new company that is being funded to be a judge so we can have major tournaments held once again in NZ) but yeah i hope this enlightens you guys ^___^

NR i read the latest news and was wondering why the tournaments have been ceasing lately these are the reasons.

i took information from all of them but i cant find my source that said UDE was making or selling fake cards...

however there are so many banlists out there that my deck was made on the tournaments rules and Monster Reborn wasnt on the banlist. so i could use it ^__^.

lol yet it is one of the original cards that Yugi- moto had in his deck lol and it came out in the booster legend of blue eyes as a ultra rare and cost $30 to buy from a shop and $20 wholesale lol

sad? it made it harder to get. there was still the common version roaming around with the starter decks ofcourse but it wasnt holographic like the ultra rare version of monster reborn lol

No I mean it's kinda stupid they would put that much on a card that's not even that much better than normal monster reborn, other than it looks better.

I have a holographic god card that is written in Eygptian, and it was worth $3. XD

lol i do the exsact same thing (to fake cards) lol or else burn them lol

but yes you could have sold them and made some money from all the time and effort spent on collecting them aye lol.

i have 3 ring binders and 2 shoe boxes left of yugioh cards now, mostly collection but in the shoe boxes thats where all my commons are... i should sell those lol (the boosters they were in arnt sold any more so maybe i might get more for them lol)

lol they burnt fast and did light up the back yard with the help of some gasoline, so the smell was more gasoline than cardboard lol.
