The yard is the standard English measure of length. A yard is divided into 3 ft. or 36 in. A square yard contains 9 square feet and a cubic yard contains 27 cubic feet.

There are 220 yards in a furlong and 1,760 in a mile; 4,840 square yards make an acre.

Hmmh... To put it more simple, 1 yard is about 0.9 meters.

google: "1 yard in meter" and google will calculate it for you

yeah... but it would be nice that when stating any sizes in a character profile... either the person himself adds both metric and whatever system in his char... or the mods would manually change into it...

i know myself how muc a feet is or an ich... but its really bothersome to always recalculate it for new...
especially if i dont know the size

and adding it into a profile isnt much work either... >.>
but it would be helpful...
to avoid any misunderstandings of whatever
