Hobbies

Hey does anyone have any hobbies in RL?
They can be year round or seasonal just as long as they're relevant to the topic.

give an example please. there are alot of different things that can be considered hobbies...

I like to play soccer, go boating, go golfing, rock climb/rappel, and anything else that's high adventure

Something like that? o.o

yea i consider them real active high adrenaline Hobbies ^__^
and some are seasonal but otherwise all season hobbies ^^

I play basketball, I first got into it when I was in 5th grade because in recess many of my friends played it but I sucked so never did...so i started playing a little more, from 5thk to 6th grade all i pretty much did was steal the ball and play D, then it went from being more offensive minded in 7th grade but still passive and many people doubting my skillz, in 8th grade i stopped getting too many steals but I also got way better at shooting, im right handed but in 6th grade I didn't know how to shoot so i just threw the ball under handed with two hands, later on someone taught me how but i acidentally practiced shooting left handed at first for a while, and so that stuck on...so my dominant hand in playing basketball is left, but im right handed. Most people think its strange but i think its pretty cool, sets me apart and now I can do most things equally with both hands besides writing.(ambidextrious).

so yeah.... sitting in front of pc... or tv....
though... i like swimming ... and volleyball....

Anyway I give some examples of my hobbies...

well I'm not that sporty outside of tennis and martial arts, I've always been more of an arts kinda guy, so I go ahead and practice acting (drama/comedy) at my school and I also play 3 different insterments (somewhat well) which are the violin, piano, and ocarina. Anyway for my sport hobbies, I practice tennis every week and try to improve my game, and for martial arts I've done Judo for 2 years, Karate for 1 and Kung-fu for about 2 months.

i also always wanted to do martial arts...

or also gymnastics....


never came to do it

for me my outside hobbies.. Kayaking (recently), Swimmung (competitive swimming for a club) Uphill and Downhill mountain biking, Jumping in big puddles, Bush walking, Sand Castle making (at the beach)-(enter competitions in the summer), dancing in the rain, Amatuer Boxing (with friends), Road Trips (with friends once a year)... there are more i just cant think of them all right now ^___^

my inside hobbies are... Gaming, Board games, watching TV, playing cards (poker, black jack, Yugioh, fish, solitare), PS3, watching Anime, Reading Manga, rp etc.. theres more just cant think of it right now..

but yeah thats off the top of my head and i consider all of these hobbies that i do through out the year ^___^

My outside hobbies are martial arts, hanging out with friends, going in the fields and the countryside for walking, watching the stars at night and swimming around the summer holidays. Pretty lame, if you ask me.
My inside hobbies are pretty much the same with Max, except that I read books.

Hi, i'm from Lithuania.. Lithuanian loves basketball so i love it too... Ryu has told how he played it so i must do that too...
I started to play basketball at 2nd Grade i have been totally bad player then...
I started to play much better when i reached 5th grade (i have been allready playing 3 years)
So, when i was in 5th grade i have been selected to the 7 Grade Highest School team. I don't know how to say it so i will try to explain it.
There are 3 School teams in our school:
3. school team you can be selected when you're at 7th grade or lower
2. school team when you're at the 9th grade or lower
1. school tem 12th grade(biggest) or lower
So when i was at 5th grade i have been selected to the 3rd school team. I haven't done a lot because i was sitting at the bench, but my playing proggress was very high because there was a lot of trainings where i played agaisnt elder better players..
At the 6th grade i have been selected to the 3rd team again.. Now i have been playing playing a lot. I have been one of the leaders at the team. I remember that there was none matches where i scored lower 10 points.
Last year at the 7 th grade i have been selected to the 3rd and 2nd school teams. I have been total leader at the 3rd grade team. My statisctics then:
~25 points
~10 assists
~5 turnovers (yea i do lots of mistakes)
~10 rebounds
I am a flash type player. I Have a good jump, very fast and accurate. I can play at the PG-SF and a bit PF positions. My favourite is SG position because i love to shot 3's i'm good there, and when player is guarding at the 3 very active it's easy to go through him near the basket and then i get 2 against 1 because somebody needs to go near me for defense and the player wich he must guard is alone and i get assist or score points..
It haven't been so easy to play on a 2nd team. Because players were much faster and stronger than in 3rd team league. I see that i'm faster than a lot players in that league too but the difference is not so big. Speed and accuracy is the best things i have. So it's much harder to play there. In 2nd team i played a lot too and ihave been one of the leaders, but i played in position i don't like very much it's PG. So i haven't scored so much points. I scored about 10-20 in a match, but my team play were much better. This is the year when i started not to play alone but i started to heklp my teammates in offense. I have bcome a real basketball player. With this thinking i have done lots of assists...
Now im in 8th grade and i play in 1st and 2nd school teams. I'm too old for the 3rd. At the 2nd team i've been moved to SG position again and i score lots of points again... In the 1st team it's very hard for me because players are much elder, but as i said my proggress is very high now.. i dont play at the 1 st team alot(~15minutes) and i score abouyt 5-10 points Other year i think i will be one of the leaders. The season have allready ended i have won 2nd place with 2nd shcool team and 4th with 1st one. I think i'm the best player at 8-10 Grades at our school now..
Btw i have 4 medals from the basketball right now. It's 1st and 2nd places with the 3rd team. And 2nd and 3rd places with 2nd school team..
I will be a leader of the 2nd chool team next year...
I hope i will be one of the leaders in the first 1st team.

P.S. Ryu i'm left handed too, but my dribbling is good with a both hands. I can score with a left hand in long distances, but near the basket i can score with a both hands hands easily..
