Re: Zombie Dogs x.x
hmm interesting article i must say. but they didnt say much about the after effects of the dogs, they didnt say if the dogs were mentally or physically disabled, but thats dosent mean they wernt.
but i guess if we see an out break of zombies i guess we could call it a fail ^^
(then it would be a need to get your anti zombie survival kits ready lol)

It said a few had permanent damages, but most didn't...when you go into cardiac arrest there is absolutely no oxygen coming to the brain and after a long period of time there is going to be damage, mentally, and possibly physically since the brain controls both, in any case if you do go into cardiac arrest and come out, your lucky.

It said that the saline solution was laced with oxygen and glucose, it also didn't say if they kept changing out the solution or not. If they had a machine that pumps the saline through the body and changes it out after a certain time, the oxygen and glucose should allow for basic cellular function.
As long as you have the two your cells should be able to carry out normal function and stay alive. Creating ATP and continuing cellular respiration and what not. If the tissue doesnt start to die then you should be good to go

Cardiac arrest is not a loss of Oxygen to the Brian, thats a Stroke, a Cardiac arrest is caused by some kind of damage or Shock to the heart that causes the heart to stop beating (Cardiac is latin for heart and arrest means to confine or to restrain). The Brain damage was probly cause when the Oxygen enriched fluid that was replacing the blood, did not reach the brain qiuck enough after the Cardiac arrest accured, (has been studying Medicine)

Re: Zombie Dogs x.x
A stroke is the rapid loss of brain functions due to a disturbance in the blood supply to the brain, and oxygen. I know that your heart stops during cardiac arrest, but like I said there will be little oxygen going to your brain.
Well...back to the point, I think this is cool and all, and could help a lot in the future, but there has to be a way to eliminate the permanent effects afterwards.

That would be True if the animal was acvtive, but it was Clinically dead, I am gessing the the saline solution had massivly more oxygen in it than blood, and enouhg to keep the few cells that were still active alive.
(excuse me bad english, not the best speller)
Thats is what happend here, They had to remove the blood and replace it with the saline solution as fast as possble inorder to minimize damage. and although this would be the proper term for it, the Word Stroke is used for a large number of counditions that cause loss of blood suppy due to abstuctions or damage to the circuitry system.Ryuku wrote:A stroke is the rapid loss of brain functions due to a disturbance in the blood supply to the brain,

x.x I don't like the idea one bit...
I'm not religious or anything, but I truly don't think we should have the ability to bring back the dead. That's the kind of power we just shouldn't have... We're getting way too close to the sun right now.

I don't think this is the way they want to use it. I completely agree that there are some things men shouldn't tamper with, but if this method were used on someone coming into the emergency room loosing blood fast it could save lives.

Re: Zombie Dogs x.x
Good idea! Not the zombie part, but tori's heh. It's too weird. Although I find it funny... People won't spend a penny to get the killers or at least the weapons and wars out of the way, but they will spend millions on a research that may or may not repair the damage done by them. It's awesome that they can do it, but will it actually work? It says it worked on dogs they killed in that specific way, will it actually work if someone dies in any other way?

Re: Zombie Dogs x.x
Nope not at all, so far it's just Cryogenics (Freezing a living Being then bringing it back), Not Necrogenics (bringing a already dead Being back to life).
