Post by Doomsday Mon Oct 20, 2008 2:14 am

Well, I'm kind of a bookworm so I read novels not books. I hope you like my suggestions:

The Inheritance Cycle:

Eragon - A fantasy tale of a farm boy named Eragon who stumbled onto a blue stone which reveals to become a Dragon Egg. He and his dragon tries to overthrow their current evil-ruling, Galbatorix.(This book has a series of words that we don't know called the Ancient language)
Eldest - The continuation of Eragon. Here Eragon grows more mature as he struggles to heal the wound he bears from a fight with one of Galbatorix's best slave, Durza. Durza happens to be a Shade who uses spirits to cast spells.(Eragon later here becomes a half elf which makes his ears pointy and has incredible abilities such as healing wounds in not more than days, jumping higher than trees, able to run as fast as a horse)
Brisingr - The continuation of Eldest. It just released this September. Brisingr is when Eragon fights Galbatorix's army with the Varden from Surda, advancing to Ura`Baen where he also gets training from another elder Rider which teaches him many various spells and gives him his dragon's Eldunari, the dragon's heart where if the dragon died, their spirits will reside their forever and place it into Eragon's hands.
Eragon will end at Book 4 where he will fave Galbatorix himself.

Pendragon:

Pendragon consists of 1 series and 8 books:

Pendragon Book 1: The Merchant of Death -
Pendragon Book 2: The Lost City of Faar -
Pendragon Book 3: The Never War -
Pendragon Book 4: The Reality Bug -
Pendragon Book 5: Black Water
Pendragon Book 6: The Rivers of Zadaa
Pendragon Book 7: The Quillian Games
Pendragon Book 8: The Pilgrims of Rayne

The story is about Bobby Pendragon who is a Traveler who is trying to save the dimensions of the universe from the shape-shifting demon none other than, Saint Dane! With the help of his uncle, he realises that being a Traveler isn't only protecting Halla(The universe he is in) but to also stop Saint Dane from attempting anything else. Ofcourse this is thicker and published earlier, it is actually a bit less interesting than the Inheritance Cycle. His friends Mark and Courtney stay in 2nd Earth which is the present Earth we are all living in but there is also 3rd Earth where the time is on 5008 and 1st Earth which is when the Hindenburg burned down.

The first book is about when Bobby and his uncle first encountered Saint Dane. His uncle and him survived Saint Dane's attack ofcourse and used a portal called the flume that lets him travel through dimensions. His first stop was Denduron. It where he, his uncle, a knight and 2 women from Zadaa save that dimension from using a exploding rock called "tak" that will explode all of the dimension.

The second book is where Bobby and his uncle "flumed" to the dimension full of water where they meet another traveler, Spader. Together with some of the dimension's police, they try to stop Saint Dane from poisoning the dimension's food supply from killing everyone on the dimension. Bobby and Spader travel to the ancient city of Faar that is now destroyed to seek help from the "faarians" and succeeded but at the cost of the destruction of Faar.

If I explain all of the book's stories, my post will be too long but if you would like tp buy it, you can see at the back of the book for the summary of the story.

You can search where to buy these as there are various shops that sells these books.

@Inheritance Cycle: For Eragon and Eldest, you can now buy it in one sigle book which saves you 50% of the price of if you buy both those books.

Other notes: I have yet to read the book, Genesis of Shannara and its other books with more than 8 adventures. I will update my post once I have read them.

I also apologize for who don't have English as their mother tongue and don't understand some words. PM me if I also have any typos.

Actually, I have my collection of books. Mostly novels but I really don't have an official library in our house.
But I guess I have almost 100 books not included the books that was borrowed from me.

Sometimes, I spent my time reading novels from morning till late at night..
When I started a novel, it's just hard to put them down, so I tried to finish it as soon as possible.
(as long as I like the book.)

Yup. I always read novels from early in the morning at like 6(Can't sleep usually. Already counted sheep too Very Happy) and read it like till the afternoon if I have time but sometimes not(Busy with stuff and all). I always read em' until I feel hungry enough and after eating all I can, start reading again.

Sometimes, my little sister always hides my novels and say, "Your suppost to be helping me in my homework as a brother!" but I usually ignore her(Kinda cruel but I wanted her to learn without help).

The lord of the Rings! Yay! at first I can't understand it (I only have the second book) but after I watched the movie, I did understand it.
But unlike some of my novels where I read almost 5 times. I only read LOTR almost 3 times.
